Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Software Engineer with deep expertise in Linux kernel, C++, and low-level filesystem drivers to join our x360Recover Agent team in Yerevan, Armenia. In this critical role, you will design, develop, and maintain the core agent that handles disk, file, and block-level backups for our cutting-edge data protection products.

As an integral part of our global team, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding solutions that ensure the success of our valued customers by "curing data loss."

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable software for the x360Recover Agent in C++.
  • Write, test, and debug low-level Linux drivers for disk, file, and block-level operations.
  • Optimize the agent's performance to ensure efficient data backups with minimal system overhead.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues related to kernel modules and filesystem interactions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and other engineers, to define requirements and deliver high-quality systems.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented C++ code following industry best practices.
  • Actively participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to maintain coding standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends in Linux, C++, and data storage to improve the development process.

Who You Are

  • 3+ years of professional experience in C++ development with a strong understanding of modern C++ standards.
  • Proven expertise in Linux kernel development and user-space programming.
  • Direct experience writing Linux drivers, especially for storage, block, or filesystem layers.
  • Experience with Windows is a strong advantage, as it will enable you to contribute to our full range of recovery products.
  • Experience with Rust is a significant plus.
  • Familiarity with the C programming language.
  • Experience with macOS development is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of filesystem internals and their interaction with the operating system.
  • Strong knowledge of low-level disk, file, and block I/O operations.
  • Proficiency with debugging tools like GDB and performance analysis tools.
  • Proficiency with version control tools like Git and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a distributed team.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal English communication.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
